Hola, I’m Yeli
I grew up in a Mexican household where emotions weren’t always openly expressed. For a long time, I struggled to understand what I was feeling and how to express it.
Early on, art became an outlet for me to express myself without needing to explain anything to anyone. Creating art has always brought me a sense of tranquility, helping me feel more present and connected with myself.
That’s something I want others to experience, too. It’s what inspired me to create Sana Sana Art: a space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore self-expression through art.
I’m a self-taught artist who has been painting for over 13 years. I began working primarily with acrylics before transitioning to watercolor and gouache, the mediums I work with today.
My work is inspired by the world around me, which I reinterpret through vibrant colors, expressive details, and imagination. While landscapes and nature are my primary sources of inspiration, I also find beauty in the everyday moments and little details that often go unnoticed.
Through my art, I love transforming the familiar into something whimsical and sometimes unexpected.
